The Sea Star and Sea bird sailing yachts

The Sea Star and Sea bird sailing yachts:
The Sea Star and Sea Bird are two modern custom-built yachts that combine space, comfort and authentic hospitality-at-sea for live-aboard cruises and private charters around the inner Seychelles islands. The 40m Sea Star is a custom-built yacht with three masts and five Bermuda sails. The Sea Bird is a two- masted 42m custom-built yacht with four Bermuda sails. Both vessels serve as ideal platforms for discovering the islands’ most exclusive and hard- to-reach places, from tiny granite islets to beautiful hidden coves. Weekly 7-night cruises on Sea Star & Sea Bird are operated all year-round, with departures every Saturday, venturing throughout most of the inner island archipelago. This is an ideal option for individuals, couples and small families who seek the advantages of a yacht experience without bearing the costs of chartering an entire boat. We offer a number of special niche programmes that cater to charter groups seeking a more specific activity to enjoy in the islands, such as sea kayaking, bird-watching, sport-fishing, cycling, hiking, diving and more.

Sailing - Sea Star and Sea Bird each boast modern furling systems, a powerful rig and large sailing area. Guests are welcome to assist our crew when sailing between islands.

Sea & Sport Activities - There are numerous opportunities throughout the cruise to enjoy snorkelling, kayaking, bottom-line fishing and stand- up paddle boarding - all of which are offered on a complimentary basis including the equipment.

Island Excursions - Each day onboard presents a new opportunity to explore isolated bays and coves, colourful marine parks, and protected nature reserves or uninhabited islands. Spotting the incredibly rare Magpie Robin and other endemic birds, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vallée de Mai, or getting up close and personal with a giant tortoise, are just a few of the many special experiences that await on the islands we visit.

Diving - (if pre booked) Diving and snorkelling in the Seychelles reveal the best of the magical underwater world that the Indian Ocean has to offer. Unique granite boulder formations, coral reefs and wrecks are home to colourful tropical fish, turtles, sharks, rays and many other species.

Some of the best dive sites in Seychelles' inner islands are easily accessible on our cruises. Each vessel has a dedicated PADI dive instructor onboard to accommodate the needs of both seasoned and novice divers alike. Introductory dives for first-timers and even PADI Open Water (or Advanced Open Water) courses can be conducted onboard. All vessels are equipped with two dive compressors, 18 cylinders + refills, weights, assorted wet suits (shorties) and 8 full diving sets for hire.
